WASHINGTON – This year’s 98th National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is now available for streaming online.

The annual ceremony was turned into a virtual event this year due to COVID-19-related public health concerns.

According to the National Park Service, visitors are still welcomed to see the National Christmas Tree at President’s Park. Visitors are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing at the site.

The National Christmas Tree will be lit up every evening throughout the month of December.

The 56 smaller trees representing every state and territory and the District of Columbia with handmade ornaments from those regions will also be available to view.
