Russia Losing 1,000 Troops Per Day in Invasion of Ukraine

According to officials in Ukraine the Russian military has lost 1,000 troops per day due to the resilient defense of the Ukrainian people.

  • 11,000: the number of Russian soldiers, airmen and sailors who have been lost since the fighting began 12 days ago.

  • 230,000: the number of Russian troops that began the invasion in Belarus. This number of slightly larger than the entirety of the Ukrainian military.

  • 44 planes: the number of Russian warplanes that have been shot down since the conflict began. An additional 48 attach troop carrier helicopters have also been shot down in this time.
