Disney Set to Hire Former Clinton Staffer as Next Spokesperson

By WMAL.com

Disney is currently going into damage control mode following their nationally covered debate with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis over the Parental Rights in Education bill he signed into law last month. In an effort to further communicate their position, Disney has announced the hiring of former Clinton and Obama staffer Kristine Schake as the company’s new Executive Vice President of Global Communications.

Her tenure is set to begin effective immediately, as she joins the company at a time when parents around the country are questioning the motives of the once beloved entertainment giant. Parents are questioning the company’s decision to oppose the DeSantis led bill to limit classroom discussions on the matter of gender identity and sexual orientation for children grades kindergarten through third grade.

Pressure from the left eventually led Disney executives to call for the bill’s repeal, much to the dismay and disapproval of conservatives nationwide. The conservative news media company The Daily Wire went so far as to announce the launch of their own children’s programming network with an expected $100 million investment over the next three years. Disney’s decision to hire Schake is obviously in response to their state of panic over the potential of losing viewership at a time when their stock is down more than 25% over the past six months.

“As Disney approaches its 100th anniversary, I’m excited to lead the company’s global communications work at this pivotal moment of growth and transformation. The magical stories and experiences Disney creates enrich the lives of countless people around the world and it’s an honor for me to be a part of that,” said Schake in a statement.
