By WMAL.com

Twitter announced Thursday that it would be freezing new hiring and rescinding a number of offers amidst Elon Musk’s acquisition of the platform. The decisions were made by current Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal.

Among those dismissed from their current role was Twitter’s head of consumer Kayvon Beykpour who said the company CEO, “asked me to leave after letting me know that he wants to take the team in a different direction.” The move reflects the company’s changing culture that is expected to be a top priority of Elon Musk.  Revenue product lead Bruce Falck is also set to leave the company.

Twitter is expected to freeze hiring and rescind several offers that have been made, according to an internal memo obtained by Bloomberg. While the acquisition process is moving forward the platform is already preparing itself for the seismic shift in direction that is anticipated following the deal’s closure.
