Body found of suspected killer of Hagerstown judge

Julia Eisen – WMAL News | October 26, 2023

The body of Pedro Argote, the man who is accused of murdering a Washington County judge last week, was found dead in Williamsport, Md., according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Judge Andrew Wilkinson was shot in the driveway of his Hagerstown home after Wilkinson granted sole custody of Argote’s four children to Argote’s wife.

The court evidence of the custody case describes Argote’s actions as “shocking,” including child abuse and the use of security cameras all around the house.

Argote’s body was found in a heavily wooded area about a mile from where his car was located last week.

The Washington County Sheriff’s department will hold a press conference Thursday afternoon.

Funeral services for Judge Wilkinson are set for Friday.
