WASHINGTON (WMAL) — The investigation is continuing after a naked man fled the scene of a car accident on Route 28.
Andrew Trull, a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority tells WMAL that the man rear-ended a dump truck, assaulted the driver of the truck, jumped on multiple vehicles, undressed and ran from the scene into the woods.
A team of police officers from MWAA, Fairfax County and Loudoun County caught the suspect with a knife near Dulles Airport.
“Upon apprehension, police believe that he is under the influence of some sort of substance,” said Trull.
The suspect has been taken to Reston Hospital, where he will undergo a toxicology screening.
The accident has since been cleared from Route 28.
