Rep. Pat Fallon, R-Texas, told Newsmax that assassinated conservative leader Charlie Kirk carried noticeable energy that filled any room he walked into.
Fallon told the Newsmax Charlie Kirk Special on Saturday that he picked up on that the first time he met Kirk. “I thought to myself, who is this sharp young guy? My goodness, you know, tall, just filled the room with energy.”
The Texas Republican said Kirk had a special connection with young people, something that he experienced within his own household. “I have sons that are 19 and 16. And, you know, they’re trying to figure out the world. And Charlie really helped them see with clarity that they can be who they are, and they can love their country, and they can love their God unabashedly,” Fallon said.
Now, Fallon said, they, like millions, are working through the emotions of losing a man who meant so much. “And they are devastated by this, as so many of us are,” he said.
Kirk was fatally shot during an appearance at an event at Utah Valley University. The suspect, Tyler Robinson, is being held without bond and could face the death penalty if convicted.
Newsmax plans special extended coverage Sunday of the Arizona public memorial service for Kirk. Coverage on Newsmax begins at noon ET. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance are both expected to speak at the event.
