Metro officials said 11 people were injured early Wednesday after a work vehicle crashed into a stationary train in the District.
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority said an idling Silver Line train was hit by the vehicle in the Metro Center station shortly after midnight Wednesday.
Authorities said the nearly dozen people who were hurt suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Metro said that riders should expect residual delays as crash remains under investigation.
