WASHINGTON — (CNN) CNN will host the three remaining Republican White House contenders this week in events over three consecutive nights, featuring the candidates as well as their families.
The busy stretch will culminate Thursday with the final Democratic debate between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders in Brooklyn before the crucial New York primary April 19.
CNN’s Anderson Cooper will kick off the town halls, with Ohio Gov. John Kasich, his wife Karen and their daughters Emma and Reese for a town hall with New York Republican voters starting 9 p.m. Monday and running for an hour.
Cooper is also hosting Donald Trump, Melania Trump and his children Ivanka, Eric and Donald Jr. for the same format Tuesday night.
And he will moderate a town hall with Ted Cruz and his wife Heidi Cruz on Wednesday.
New York voters will get the chance to ask the candidates and their families questions at each event.
The stretch will be capped with the last Democratic debate between Clinton and Sanders in Brooklyn.
The debate, which will be held at Duggal Greenhouse at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, is hosted in partnership between CNN and Time Warner Cable News NY1.
Clinton and Sanders will take questions from Blitzer, as well as CNN Chief Political Correspondent Dana Bash and NY1 “Inside City Hall” Host and CNN Political Commentator Errol Louis.
For Republicans, 95 delegates are at stake from New York on Tuesday, and, for Democrats, it’s 247 delegates at stake.
