Del. Joe Morrissey (D-Henrico) returned to jail after a Richmond TV News crew captured him pressing the flesh with potential voters outside a supermarket. The Sheriff's office said that violated the terms of Morrissey's work release, which allows him ot meet constituents during the day.

Morrissey is serving a six-month sentence for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Prosecutors claim he repeatedly had sex with a teenager in his law office.

The delegate resigned his seat effective the day of the January special election, but he immediately announced he would run in the election to win it back.

He could be in court on the work release issue later today.
