The GOP controls both the State House and Senate, and Democrats plan to make Republicans squirm by forcing them to cast politically-sensitive votes.
The Richmond Times-Dispatch reported that the House Minority Leader, David J. Toscano, urged Democrats in a memo to, “create dilemmas for our Republican colleagues, especially those in targeted seats.”
“We’re trying to get our agenda passed and in the process try to pick up more seats so we can get more of our things accomplished,” Toscano told the Dispatch.
Democrats plan to work toward Medicaid expansion, a minimum wage increase and nonpartisan redistricting among other issues.
