GLENARDEN, Md. (AP) – Prince George’s County police say a dump truck driver has been arrested after hitting two police cruisers at a Maryland shopping center.
Police spokeswoman Julie Parker says it appears the driver intended to hit the vehicles, which were marked.
No officers were in the cars at the time of the incident Wednesday at the Woodmore Towne Center in Glenarden.
The police department sent out pictures via Twitter showing the truck with its wheels resting on one cruiser’s trunk.
The pictures showed the truck with the name Allstar Utility Company Inc. on its door. A person who answered the telephone at a company yard confirmed a crew was doing a job near the accident. A message left for the company’s owner was not immediately returned.
