(CNN) — Just hours after the fourth Republican presidential debate wrapped, Donald Trump used Twitter to declare himself the winner, as well as laud the event’s moderators.

Trump was effusive in his praise Wednesday morning of Fox Business Network’s hosts, an event which came after last month’s CNBC debate that was widely panned by its participants.

The GOP front-runner tweeted early Wednesday morning: “Loved doing the debate…won Drudge and all on-line polls! Amazing evening, moderators did an outstanding job.”

Trump was similarly magnanimous the previous evening, telling CNN’s Dana Bash immediately after the debate that he thought the moderators were “elegant” and that “they really did a great job.”

“I thought it was great. I thought the moderators were elegant. I thought the questions were really, really on point,” Trump said, adding, “I thought it was a great night…Actually, the word is elegant.”
