WASHINGTON — (WMAL) Officers in Halifax, Virginia made a quick traffic stop over the weekend, but they weren’t handing out fines.

Two officers stopped two people while driving in Halifax for breaking what they called ‘vehicle code 1.7.3.9,’ which forbids driving “on a hot day without an ice cream cone.”

The officer then handed the relieved – and laughing – occupants of the vehicle two ice cream cones.
