(WMAL.com) — Their tasting menu is “4 blocks long,” but we all know the real party at Taste of DC starts on the Main Stage!

After grabbing a plate otaste-main-stage-300f food and a cold drink, there’s nothing better than checking out some live music to go along with it.

This year, performers will take the Main Stage and The Beats & Eats stage all weekend long, together with a cappella, dance, and performance art acts from local community groups!

Here’s a sneak peek at what to expect on the Main Stage:

On Saturday at 1:00pm, check out Batalà Washington. They are an all-female percussion band with a mission to empower women through drumming! They also hope to shine a light on Brazil’s dynamic music and culture:

At 2:15pm, The Georgetown Phantoms take the stage. This a cappella group from Georgetown University has performed at the White House, State Department, National Museum of Natural History, Blair House, and Kennedy Center:

Coming up at 4:00pm on Saturday is neighborhood favorite Cheaper Than Therapy. One of the leading festival and bar bands in DC, this group started as “an aimless Sunday morning jam session between some parents in Northwest DC.”

Up next, check out Billy Winn at 5:00pm. Billy is a singer, songwriter, recording artist, and performer from Washington DC known for energetic dance shows and powerhouse talent:

And to wrap up Day 1, you don’t want to miss The Fisherman Band at 6:00pm! This fun, unforgettable live show started with DC natives Lindsay and Phillip “Flip” Hough and delivers a blend of all your favorite ingredients: Funk, Jazz, Rock, Folk and Reggae!

But… that’s not all. The Main Stage has a great lineup set for Sunday, too!

It all starts at 12:45pm with the D.C. Bhangra Crew. This all-female Bhangra dance team consists of first and second-generation students exploring the rich and vibrant culture of Punjab:

At 1:00pm, one of DC’s favorite party rock cover bands takes the stage. It’s 7 Deadlies!

For a show of deep love and passion for the art of dance, check out the Beyond Limits Dance Ensemble, hitting the stage at 2:45pm:

And at 3:00pm, it’s time for N2N, a rhythm and blues cover band that has performed during a Presidential Inaugural ball and opened for Grammy award winning artist BeBe Winans:

Known for rolling their piano through the streets and corners of Capitol Hill, you can’t miss Capitol Hillbillies at 4:00pm Sunday:

And if that’s not enough, pop-rockers Turtle Recall wrap it up with energy, musicality, and mashups at 5:00pm. They like to “keep the harmonies tight, the attitude loose, and the drums lightning fast.”

And that’s JUST the Main Stage! There is so much more for lovers of live music and performances at this year’s Taste of DC. Click HERE for the full list of artists scheduled to appear.

It’s just something to remember while you’re navigating 4 blocks’ worth of food and drinks along Pennsylvania Avenue!
