‘This is Not What Justice is About’, JAMES O’KEEFE on the Prosecution of Pro-Life Journalists in California

Listen as Larry spoke with James O’Keefe, founder and President of Project Veritas and Project Veritas Action, about California charging journalists who exposed Planned Parenthood and the importance of investigative journalism.

During the interview, O’Keefe exposed the true reason why the Pro-Life journalists are being prosecuted:

O’Connor: Well, when you saw these indictments handed down in California, you must have taken notice. Why won’t you tell me from your perspective about this story and what you are concerned about.

O’Keefe: Well, I think it’s the criminalization of investigative journalism and I think it’s the politicization of the justice department in the state of California. This Attorney General, Kamala Harris, before him, received $80,000 from Planned Parenthood. And with all the waste, fraud, abuse and corruption in the state of California, with the 20 million or however many citizens live in the state of California, for them to go after a citizen who had the audacity, who had the courage to spend a couple of years, his own money and time investigating Planned Parenthood, it had nothing to do with covert recording. I mean, people do covert recording into animal abuse, Don Sterling, the guy who owned the Clippers, was covertly recorded in the state of California – no prosecution. They are going after them because of the issue here and that is not what justice is about.

The problem with the justice department, as is in our country, is that there is no equal justice under the law anymore. This is not about the law, they’re trying to make it about the law, that he broke the law, that David broke the law, it’s about the fact that they like Planned Parenthood. But the truth is, in this democracy, even organizations like Planned Parenthood, who claim to have a ‘monopoly on virtue’, when they say we help women, even organizations who claim to do that deserve to be investigated.
