PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY (WMAL) — The Prince William County Police Department is now releasing more information about the Amber Alert that went out around the DC Metro area yesterday.

Police arrested 21-year-old Roberto Antoni Medrano-Segovia in connection with the case. He was discovered at the same address as 16 year old female identified in the amber alert yesterday afternoon.

Medrano-Segovia has been charged with several crimes including abduction and gang participation. Police say that witnesses heard Medrano-Segovia make claims that he was a member of the MS-13 gang before forcibly putting Sinahi Aguilar-Cruz into a car during a party early Sunday morning.

Police say that Medrano-Segovia also slashed the tires of witnesses at the party who had helped Aguilar-Cruz get away from the suspect earlier in the night.

The Amber Alert for Aguilar-Cruz went out Sunday morning with information about both her and Medrano-Segovia. Police included in the Amber Alert that the 16 year old was believed to be in extreme danger, however she was found unharmed and was reunited with her family.

Aguilar-Cruz and Medrano-Segovia were found at the same house Sunday afternoon, where they both gave police fake names. Police were later able to positively identify them.
