WASHINGTON (WMAL) — Bring your pets and plants inside tonight.

A frost advisory is in effect for the entire DC Metro area from 1-9am.

Weather Channel Meteorologist Scott Lawrimore tells WMAL temperatures in DC tonight will be in the mid-30s, and in the low 30s in the suburbs.

Lawrimore says he’s expecting a slight warm up soon. “We’re going to kind of climb uphill again this weekend, with actually above average temperatures.”

However, he says another cold front should be arriving early next week.

“Finally our forecast is kind of caught up with the month that we are in, in mid-October,” said Lawrimore.
