WASHINGTON (WMAL) — Temperatures in the District will reach the twenties and teens tonight.

Scott Lawrimore, a senior meteorologist at the Weather Channel, spoke with WMAL about the arctic front moving through. “This cold front coming in tonight is from the arctic,” says Lawrimore. “It’s going to be a noticeable drop.”

“A gusty northwest wind at 20 to 30 miles per hour,” he said, could bring the wind chills down into the single digits.

Lawrimore did say that there is a very slight chance of snow tonight, however, travel in the DC area shouldn’t be impacted.

Snow is in the forecast for tomorrow evening, but Lawrimore says DC should only expect a dusting.
