Montgomery County Police Searching for Man who Attempted Three Kidnappings

GERMANTOWN. MD — Montgomery County Police Detectives are handing out flyers in Germantown, hoping someone recognizes the sketch of a man police say tried at least three times to kidnap teenage girls.

At a 7-11 on Clopper Road on Friday night, police say a 14 year old girl was approached by a man in a white SUV, asking if she needed a ride. When she said no, the suspect drove away from the area. Two weeks prior, the 14 year old girl was approached by the same man at a bus stop.

After putting out that info, Montgomery County Police Captain Paul Starks, says they got a call from the mother of a 16 year old, who said she had been approached both at a nearby bus stop and at this same 7-11.

Detectives are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect or who may have information about these events to call the Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5400.
