Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other New York Democrats pick a fight with Amazon and Jeff Bezos over HQ2 in Queens (CNBC)

Democrats from New York’s Queens borough slammed Amazon’s plan for offices in the area, setting up a potential political fight with one of the world’s most powerful companies.

The criticism came even as Virginia lawmakers largely welcomed the e-commerce company’s decision to open up another facility outside Washington, D.C.

Levin: CNN’s lawsuit against Trump over Jim Acosta is ‘very weak’ and ‘ridiculous’ (CR)

LevinTV host Mark Levin has examined CNN’s lawsuit against the Trump administration and found it’s a “very weak case” and a “ridiculous suit.”

The network filed a lawsuit Tuesday, after the White House revoked correspondent Jim Acosta’s press credentials following an incident in which Acosta refused to surrender the microphone and physically touched a White House aide attempting to take it away from him at a press conference last Wednesday.

“The wrongful revocation of these credentials violates CNN and Acosta’s First Amendment rights of freedom of the press and their Fifth Amendment rights to due process,” CNN said in a statement. [Read More]

‘23,232 Feet From The White House’, And Other Slogan Ideas For Arlington’s New Amazon Neighborhood (DCIST)

Amazon made the long-expected announcement on Tuesday that it would be plopping half of its second headquarters in Crystal City, Virginia. Sorry, a typo: That’s National Landing, Virginia, which Amazon says refers to the area in Crystal City, Pentagon City, and Potomac Yard where it will be setting up its campus, according to ARLnow. In a blog post announcing the news, Amazon described National Landing as “an urban community in Northern Virginia located less than 3 miles from downtown Washington, D.C.” The company plans to invest $2.5 billion in Arlington County, and is anticipating $3.2 billion of incremental tax revenue over the next 20 years as a result of Amazon’s moving in.
