WASHINGTON (WMAL) – Four Damascus High School teenagers were indicted on rape charges Thursday in connection with an alleged sexual assault in the boys locker room.

The four 15-year-old members of the school’s junior varsity football team are all charged as adults. The Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office said Caleb Thorpe, Kristian Lee, Jean Abedi and Will Smith were indicted on eight counts each: one count of first-degree rape, three counts of attempted rape and four counts of conspiracy to commit rape. The charges stem from an alleged sexual assault of other players in the school’s locker room after school on Halloween.

The teens were arrested last week and released Monday on $20,000 bond.

A fifth student has been charged as a juvenile.
