The Dossier: Trump declassification order causes Deep State panic (Conservative Review)

Late Thursday, the president issued a declassification order to Attorney General William Barr, granting him the authority to declassify any information concerning the Obama administration’s surveillance activities during the 2016 election.

The declassification order will hopefully provide more clarity on the Obama intelligence chiefs’ efforts to thwart then-candidate Trump’s presidential aspirations, in addition to the FBI’s and CIA’s rogue surveillance operations and abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) processes. Unfreedom of the Press (Amazon)

From five-time #1 New York Times bestselling author, FOX News star, and radio host Mark R. Levin comes a groundbreaking and enlightening book that shows how the great tradition of the American free press has degenerated into a standardless profession that has squandered the faith and trust of the American public, not through actions of government officials, but through its own abandonment of reportorial integrity and objective journalism.

Unfreedom of the Press is not just another book about the press. Levin shows how those entrusted with news reporting today are destroying freedom of the press from within: “not government oppression or suppression,” he writes, but self-censorship, group-think, bias by omission, and passing off opinion, propaganda, pseudo-events, and outright lies as news. [Read More]

And the newly-released testimony of former Attorney General Loretta Lynch just gave Comey’s cover-up story another blow. [Read More]

Here’s an Actual Nightmare: Naomi Wolf Learning On-Air That Her Book Is Wrong (NY Mag)

In the pantheon of nightmares, somewhere between “falling into an endless pit” and “back at high school but naked” is “going on national radio and learning, on-air, that the book you wrote and is to be published in two weeks is premised on a misunderstanding.” Naomi Wolf, unfortunately, is living that nightmare.

When she went on BBC radio on Thursday, Wolf, the author of Vagina and the forthcoming Outrages: Sex, Censorship, and the Criminalization of Love, probably expected to discuss the historical revelations she’d uncovered her book. But during the interview, broadcaster Matthew Sweet read to Wolf the definition of “death recorded,” a 19th-century English legal term. “Death recorded” means that a convict was pardoned for his crimes rather than given the death sentence. Trump visits Arlington National Cemetery before Memorial Day (Military Times)

President Donald Trump paid his respects Thursday to those who died in service to the United States by placing American flags at several gravesites during an early Memorial Day visit to Arlington National Cemetery.

Trump and his wife, first lady Melania Trump, participated in a decades-old tradition known as “flags in.”

Every Thursday before the holiday, members of the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment, or the Old Guard, honor the nation’s fallen heroes by placing American flags at each service member’s headstone. [Read More]
