WASHINGTON (WMAL) – A substitute teacher at Anne Arundel County Public Schools was arrested and charged with having a sexual relationship with a student.

Alexis Boberg, 25, turned herself in to Anne Arundel County police Monday. Friday she was charged with two counts of a Fourth Degree Sex Offense with a person in a position of authority along with one count of consuming an alcoholic beverage while on public property.

Police started an investigation into Boberg June 4 after a North County High School student told them the two exchanged phone numbers and then met off of school property multiple times in May and engaged in sexual activities. The student also said Boberg gave him alcohol when they got together.

Police searched Boberg’s house the day after the student made the report and found evidence, but they didn’t say what.

The Anne Arundel County School board barred her from substituting in the future.

Police are asking anyone else who may have been victimized by Boberg to call them.
