WASHINGTON – Alex Trebek, the longtime host of ‘Jeopardy!’, said he has completed chemotherapy and is back to work on the latest season of the game show.

In a promo video on the game show’s YouTube channel, Trebek previewed the show’s upcoming 36th season and shared his excitement on being back.

Let me tell you, it’s going to be a good year,” Trebek said in the video.

The game show host was in good spirits, joking that he’d want Betty White to play him if there was ever a biographical film made about his life.

Back in March, Trebek announced that he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. In the recent video, Trebek said he had completed his chemotherapy treatment.

“I’ve gone through a lot of chemotherapy and thankfully that is now over,” Trebek said in the video. “I’m on the mend and that’s all I can hope for right now.”
