Alexandria Cancels “Abortion Provider Appreciation Day” Amidst Backlash

Democratic Mayor of Alexandria Justin Wilson as scheduled to proclaim March 10th “Abortion Provider Appreciation Day”. That is until word got around and members of the Catholic Church mobilized to shut this event down.

  • Word got out: that the proclamation was scheduled to be discussed and ratified on the agenda at their March 8th meeting. After intense backlast from pro-life activists, Alexandria Mayor said: “This proclamation has now been pulled from the agenda on Tuesday at my request” in an email obtained by the Daily Wire.
  • Governor Youngkin weighs in: telling the Daily Wire that he was “sad and disappointed” that the proclamation was even being considered. Adding: “The far-left liberals continue to dominate the Democrat party and remind everyone that they are completely out of touch with Virginia values”
