Zelensky Calls Russia’s Bombing of Children’s Hospital “War Crime”

Following Russia’s deadly bombing of a children’s hospital and maternity ward Wednesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called the heinous action, “proof of genocide” and a “war crime”.

  • Children harmed: Zelensky wrote Wednesday that children were currently buried in the rumble caused by the explosion. To date, three have been announced dead and 17 injured in the blast.
  • Zelensky irate: “Atrocity! How much longer will the world be an accomplice ignoring terror?” asked the President.
  • World Health Organization: Has verified 18 attacks on healthcare facilities in the war-torn country since the invasion began two weeks ago.
