Northam Says He And His Wife Are Still Recovering From COVID-19

WASHINGTON – Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam said he and his wife are both continuing to recover from COVID-19.

The governor posted a video update on his social media accounts on Monday to provide a health update on his condition.

In the video, Northam said he had developed some mild cold-like symptoms and lost his sense of smell over the weekend. However, he said he is feeling better now and thanked those who have sent their well-wishes.

While quarantining, Northam said he is continuing to work from home. He also said over 650,000 Virginians have either voted in-person already or mailed in their absentee ballots.

“Continue to wear your mask, continue to wash your hands, keep your social distance and most importantly, take care of yourselves, take care of your family, your loved ones, and your friends,” Northam said. “We’re gonna get through this together.”
