[PRESS RELEASE]
The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem | June 13, 2025
(FORT LAUDERDALE, FL) — The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem – USA (ICEJ USA) stands in solemn prayer and full support of the State of Israel as it defends itself against the imminent threat posed by Iran’s nuclear program. Today, at 3 AM Israel time, the Israel Defense Forces launched a large-scale aerial campaign, code-named “Strength of a Lion,” targeting dozens of Iranian military and nuclear facilities. Israeli officials have confirmed that Iran has amassed enough enriched uranium to produce multiple nuclear warheads within days. Israel’s preemptive strike is intended to neutralize this existential threat.
Dr. Susan Michael, USA president of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ) and director of American Christian Leaders for Israel, released the following statement on the strikes:
“As reports emerge of Israeli airstrikes over strategic Iranian sites—including command centers of the Revolutionary Guards and air defense systems—we are reminded once again of the unique and urgent security challenges Israel faces in a region dominated by hostile regimes. The Israeli Homefront Command has opened public shelters in expectation of Iranian retaliatory strikes being launched toward Israeli population centers. The nation is bracing for what may be days of battle. Yet even in this time of uncertainty, we hold fast to the promise of Scripture: ‘Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep’ — Psalm 121:4.
“Now is the time for moral clarity and spiritual unity. We stand with Israel as it acts decisively to prevent a nuclear-armed Iran—a threat not only to Israel, but to global peace and security.”
The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem – USA calls on Christians across the United States to join us in prayer:
- For the protection of Israel’s citizens and armed forces
- For wisdom and strength for Israeli leaders
- For peace, justice, and the restraint of evil
- And for the shielding of innocent lives throughout the region
The staff of ICEJ’s headquarters in Jerusalem is actively engaged in crisis response efforts in Israel, providing emergency aid, shelter, trauma care, and long-term recovery assistance to communities impacted by war and terror. As this new conflict unfolds, they are preparing to meet urgent needs on the ground once again. To learn more or support this work, CLICK HERE.
