FALLS CHURCH, Va. — (WMAL) The body of a teenage boy who went missing Thursday evening in Falls Church while swimming in Lake Barcroft has been recovered.

The boy, identified as 16-year-old Jeremy Munga, was discovered at around 3am Friday morning. Munga was reportedly swimming with friends when witnesses say he disappeared underwater a few feet away from the shore.

An autopsy will be performed by the county medical examiner, although officials do not believe at this time that there was any foul play.

“From our investigation so far, we don’t believe that there’s anything suspicious,” said Officer Tawny Wright.
