FAIRFAX, VA — (WMAL) Two sets of human remains have been found in a Fairfax County park, two days after police launched a search after responding to a tip.
Police had been combing Holmes Run Park near Alexandria since Wednesday, using cadaver dogs to search for the bodies.
The discovery comes a month after police discovered the body of a 15-year-old girl, Demaris Reyes Rivas, in a Springfield Industrial Park. 10 people have been charged in her death.
Police will not say whether the deaths are related, but the searches have come in the wake of aseries of gang-related killings and disappearances.
More details will be released during a Friday news conference.
