How Virginia voted in primary elections for US Senate and House
Virginians voted in Democratic and Republican primaries for the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives on Tuesday.

While Sen. Tim Kaine was unopposed for the Democratic nomination, three Republicans are vying for the chance to take on the former vice presidential candidate in November.

In the commonwealth’s congressional races, seven districts have at least one contested primary. U.S. House Districts 2 and 10 are the only ones to host multiple candidates in both elections.

Data for the results comes from the Virginia Department of Elections. Polls closed at 7 p.m. Follow along below for full election results and maps from the Virginia primaries.
